On September 7, at King Abdullah Economic City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the weather was pleasant. Compared with July and August, the temperature had dropped slightly. However, strong winds in the afternoons these days kick up sand and dust. It is normal for factory construction in the desert.

The company secured the piping installation work for the pretreatment and electrocoating section of the coating workshop at the Saudi Ceer Automobile Plant early this year. After the Spring Festival, the team worked overtime on pipe prefabrication in the workshop. All materials were shipped in three batches between March and early April. I arrived in Saudi Arabia in early April to conduct preliminary preparations for the project, but returned to China to wait due to insufficient site conditions. The project management team arrived in Saudi Arabia at the end of May and completed all pre-entry formalities within one and a half months. Workers were mobilized to the site successively starting mid-July. By the end of August, all construction personnel were on site, ready to roll out full-scale construction.

Overseas construction environments and requirements differ greatly from those in China. During this period, the project team overcame various difficulties and pushed the project forward step by step, laying a foundation for the company to develop overseas projects. Returning to the site this time, the workshop is no longer empty. Construction work is in full swing across all work sections. Although site operations have not yet been fully streamlined, the on-site performance of the project team and workers has been recognized by the general contractor and the client. This achievement did not come easily. The project carries many uncertainties and unknown factors. Personnel and materials are now in place, and tougher challenges lie ahead.
